It is a legal requirement for all commercial properties to have adequate Emergency Lighting in place.
If there is a local power circuit failure, Emergency Lights stay on automatically. Emergency lighting will illuminate signs above fire exit routes and doors, stairways and firefighting equipment allowing day-to-day tasks to continue or safely navigate occupants away from the building.
All Emergency Lighting must conform to BS 5266-1, and all luminaires should comply with BSEN 60598-2-22.
